Tulip Grove Baptist Church exists to glorify God by making disciples of all nations who worship Christ, are in covenant community with one another, and grow together in the truth, love, and joy of Christ.
We are a church family rooted in Old Hickory, TN — committed to expository preaching, genuine community, and reaching our neighbors with the gospel. Whether you’re exploring faith for the first time or looking for a church home, we’d love to meet you.
Our ministries span every season of life: children’s programs, student ministry, men’s and women’s Bible studies, the Spiritual Growth Institute, and Mother’s Day Out. Whatever your story, there’s a place for you here.

Our Journey
Church History
Planted in Old Hickory
Tulip Grove Baptist was founded to serve the community of Old Hickory, TN — a neighborhood shaped by faith, family, and hard work.
Expanding Ministry
The congregation grew steadily over the decades, adding ministries for children, youth, and families as the community around us grew.
Deepening Discipleship
Launched the Spiritual Growth Institute and expanded small group ministry, with a renewed commitment to equipping every member for ministry.
Rooted and Reaching
Under Pastor Chase Sears, Tulip Grove continues to be a church committed to expository preaching, covenant community, and reaching Nashville with the gospel.

Chase Sears
Senior Pastor
Pastor Chase leads Tulip Grove Baptist with a heart for expository preaching and making disciples. He is passionate about the local church as the primary instrument of God’s work in a community.
Phil Lundy
Worship Pastor
Phil leads our worship ministry with a commitment to God-centered, theologically rich music. He believes that corporate worship shapes the heart of a congregation week by week.
Eric Boswell
Preschool & Children’s Pastor
Eric oversees all children’s ministry at Tulip Grove, from nursery through 5th grade. He loves helping kids build a foundation of faith that will carry them through life.
Brian Joines
Discipleship & Family Pastor
Brian leads our discipleship ministries and is passionate about equipping families to grow in faith together — not just on Sundays, but in everyday life.
